A few more questions

hi a few questions i have.

1. how long from adding/paving/correcting a road till it appears on the map.
2. what sort of alert should i have approching a speed camera?
3. whats happened to all the cupcakes?

1. at the moment, about a month. Hopefully it won’t take as long in the new year. See the FAQ and the Status page.

2. You will get a warning if you are driving to fast when you approach the speed camera. This does rely on the camera having the correct speed and direction set in the editor, and not all of them do.

3. The cupcakes were a special feature for Halloween. The Americans got pumpkins and ghosts, whereas we only got cupcakes. They will probably be back for another holiday, perhaps Easter.

Hmmm, I always thought it warned you anyways, whatever speed you are doing, either that or all mine are set with the wrong speed (or I am going to fast?) It does get confusing having to use Km/h in papyrus and MPH in cartouche!

Sadly it feels sometimes like we get ignored for not being in north America these days when it comes to cupcakes/road goodies :-/

The speedcam will warn anyway, depends from which direction you’re comming from.
I have found a few cupcakes a week before, but it’s a temporary thing anyway.

I thought that the audio prompts only occurred when exceeding the speed, and not otherwise. The screen warnings appear all the time, perhaps? There may also be some bugs depending on which client you use.

Yeah it’s a visual warning only if you’re below the limit. Audio if you are exceeding the set limit at the trigger point (ie there will be no audio warning if you exceed the limit between th trigger point an the camera!)

I don’t get the audible warnings anyway as I removed the sound file so that I don’t have Waze and CamerAlert battling to tell me about cameras.

I used to have audio warning on symbain mobile whatever speed I have but I only have visual warning now on my andriod mobile.
