I just travel to penang from KL on last week, and have receive 2 saman at slim river and taiping for the direction to penang, guess still have 2 more to come.
I’m very disappointed that Waze is not giving warning nor showing there is a speed camera near that 2 location at all.
Please advice whethere this feature has been disable already ?
Waze is a community based application. Everything is done by the community. If any of Waze user report any AES in a location, then it will be edited by the editor. Sometimes the editor do send private message to the reporter to get a confirmation. In most cases the editor never get a respond from reporter. Also quite a number user do send a false report.
As far as possible the editor will create the speed cam. But its not a guarantee. Waze also dont put any mobile speed cam.
Waze applicationtion is not responsible to put all visible AES in the application. All AES created by editor are based on local knowledge, user reports or any other source. The purpose of creating the AES is just a reminder. The rest is up to the user to obey the traffic law of the country. You cant blame Waze any tickets you get for exceeding the speed limit.
Hi welcome. Waze does not put speed trap cameras that are mobile. Only fix cameras.
