I cleaned up some breakage done by a Lattai (Rank 1) on 14 St near 17 Ave SW, and put the restrictions back to what I could see from Street View. But I see there is a construction closure in effect.
Somebody more familiar with what’s going on there should double check that I put it back the way it should be.
It’s shown locked to level 4 so I can’t touch it, and parts of 14 St (between 29th and 30th) have been completely deleted.
There’s a huge slew of “traffic locks” and regular locks all over the Calgary area suddenly, seemingly engineered to keep level 3s (like myself) from making changes. If that’s the attitude, that’s fine - whoever is making these locks and reverting/changing my edits and contributions can handle it all themselves.

I don’t think anyone is trying to revert your work. At least no one with experience.
That said, the traffic lock situation is going to be a growth process. You are one of the better rank-3 editors out there, but we need to protect a lot of these high value segments from damage by not-so-good rank 3 editors.
These traffic locks are set automatically by the Waze servers. We’ve set the maximum to be rank 4 – that seemed to be a good compromise.
How close are you to 100k edits?
I’m only halfway there (54.7k). I actually asked earlier this week for admin to consider me for level 4 (going through the proper procedure and all), waiving the 100k edits, but the response was that I don’t have enough edits to be considered.
No construction closures listed for this road in waze. This is closed on Northbound 14st from 17ave to 10ave. Can’t report such a long segment through the app. This is supposed to be closed until August 2014.

I’m level 1 and can’t edit it to put temporary restrictions.
I also have another road closure that will be in place near my house for months and can’t edit that either due to it being locked for level 4 and up. My reporting it through the app has no effect for others. Not enough people bothering to report it. It will be closed until December 2014.

Thanks for the info. I have added the northbound closure of 14 St and the temporary southbound turn restrictions.
Someone else has already added the Symons Valley Rd closure.
There’s a UR that states the restrictions need to be either cleared or reversed now.
