There is a need for aliases! You can divide between the local street names and the street numbers. (not the house-numbers) Maybe the state route 999 leads through your village. You know the street as “main street” But only a small chunk of “main street” belongs to state route 999. You had to divide your “main street” into “main street” and “S999 main street” without aliases. Now you are able to name the whole road as “main street” and the small chunk with the alias “S999”. This makes the house-numbers consistent for “main street” and avoids a double search result for “main street” / “S999 main street”
