Hello everyone! 
Another great piece of news to start 2026 off right: we have carried out a reorganization of the Brazil community forum categories, long-awaited by our community.
First of all, a big thank you to our forum 
@denysdgcf and to @tenlucas, who has the hyper, ultra, master access to push the buttons in Discuss 
This improvement aims to:
- Make it easier to find topics
- Better separate official, regional, and technical content
- Prepare the forum for new content and community growth
Important: some new categories will still be created in the future, as they depend on actions from a Discuss administrator. Nevertheless, we are already communicating the changes so that everyone can familiarize themselves with them now:
Brazil Forum Map
Below is the updated structure of the Brazil Forum, showing how the categories and subcategories are organized:

Brazil: Local Champs
Category restricted to the Brazil Champs group.
Brazil: Community
Content related to the organization, communication, and functioning of the editor community.
Subcategories:
- Meetups
Meetings, meetups, in-person and online community events. - Official Announcements (NEW)
Publication of official announcements from the editor community and Waze communications translated into Brazilian Portuguese. - Localization
Topics related to the translation of Waze in Brazil. - Wazeopedia
Discussion topics about Wazeopedia Brazil content. - Mentors
Content related to the mentoring program and general guidelines, restricted to mentors.
Brazil: States (The community’s favorite!)
Specific discussions for each Brazilian state.
Subcategories:
- A subcategory for each state, where topics such as the following are handled:
- Segment unlocking
- Road system updates
- Relevant traffic changes
- Local editing topics
Brazil: Maps and Map Editing
Category dedicated to technical and operational topics of the Waze Map Editor (WME).
Subcategories:
- App
Production updates and questions related to the Waze app (does not replace the Beta community forum). - Traffic Events
Major events, incidents, and occurrences in various regions of the country. - Map Update Requests
- Segment Unlock Requests
- Closure Requests
These last three subcategories receive topics automatically generated by the WME when an editor requests help via the permalink button. Any editor with an area can respond and help directly via Discuss.
Brazil: Brazil 
Category in the process of being discontinued.
It was used for various generic topics, which are now migrating to more appropriate categories.
Brazil: Management
Category deactivated
It was considered obsolete and is no longer needed.
Next steps
- New categories may still be created
- Fine-tuning will continue to happen based on usage
- Community feedback is always welcome!
