Common issue?

I’ve seen quite a number of these type of reports in Nelspruit:

https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=5&lat=-25.43839&lon=30.95174&layers=1477&segments=180200227,180200188&env=row#

It is obvious that there is not really a problem but it seems as if the system sees a problem. How does one resolve such a problem? There are a few other areas where an administrator has closed a report but there are just new ones.

Hi Bosman,

Are you referring to the problem being a streetname on a two way ramp? I unfortunately only saw your post now and can’t find any UR attached to it.

Hi Kyle

Sorry, Tried to add a url but seems like it went wrong.

The problem I’m referring to is where two roads are close to each other, one has a starting point (A) of a segment and the other has a terminating point (B) of a totally different segment. The system automatically wants to add a segment between the two points (See picture).

I’ve seen a number of such issues which have been resolved by editors in the past but they just automatically reappear as the system sees it as a fault. Is there no option available where the editor can mark such issues so that they don’t reappear in future?

Just curious.

I think this problem actually relates to people driving from one segment to the other without one being in between. The system will then flag that as a missing rd.

In this case drivers likely do a U-turn between the carriageways. In other words Waze wants you to add a rd between the two because people have driven it (regardless of whether it’s legal or not)

I’d mark it as not identified and move along. Hope that helps
