Editors’ May Newsletter: Improved Gas prices⛽
What’s new in Waze
New voices!
We’ve released new TTS voices: “Erikas” in Lithuanian and “Pretty Girl” in Vietnamese. These new voices will take the localization of Waze in Lithuania and Vietnam to a whole new level! Huge thanks to the Vietnamese and Lithuanian communities, who helped name and test the voices.
Waze on Heads Up Displays
Now you can view the Waze map directly on the dashboard display behind the steering wheel on select vehicles with Carplay and Android Auto. The new view provides drivers with essential info directly in their line of sight, enhancing safety and the overall driving experience.
Gas prices improved, thanks to YOU!
A round of applause goes to our communities who played a vital role in our Gas Price Project: Brazil, Germany, Australia, Belgium, Romania, Moldova, Croatia, Ireland, Poland, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Hungary, Luxembourg, Czechia, Ukraine, Slovakia, Peru, Netherlands and Denmark.
Together, you validated 40,000 PURs, significantly improving the accuracy and coverage of gas price info. This marks a significant milestone for Germany, providing them with gas price information for the first time ever.
