I am using waze for five months now and my observation raised few questions… I would be glad if anybody competent could answer.

  1. When I search for destination, there is “Search not helpful” option as the last one. What does it do when clicked at? What “report” it generates, if any? What happens?

  2. I have the underground garage in my house with no GSM coverage and it always take long time to catch a signal to my iPhone when leaving it. That means when I start Waze in the garage, there is no network connection at all. It pops-up “Do you want to drive to work?” … correct. Then it navigates me the green way - 10.9km / 15.9 minutes. Later when I get to the main street, GSM signal is retrieved and it recalculate to the violet way - 13.0 km / 15.1 minutes.

My question is … why the route is different with a signal than without it?

  1. ETA update - today I drove to work, as normal. In the middle of the way, Waze pop-up appeared stating “Due to traffic conditions ETA was updated”. Honestly, I don’t remember what was ETA before this and how much it was updated. Nevertheless, I checked for events on my route and there was none. Neither manual event nor automatic one. What was the reason for ETA update?
