First time mapping new roads and they didn't record :(

Some development is going on in my neighborhood and I turned on the construction mode to record the streets, but never got an email, as the app said I would. I am using the Gmail ‘trick’ email address for my Waze registration. In case you didn’t know the Gmail trick is to use a plus sign after your username to be able to receive\filter email designated to another fabricated email address and it gets delivered to your Gmail account inbox.

For example: user+WAZE@gmail.com ==> delivered to user@gmail.com

Well I registered in Waze using the plus sign, so I think maybe that is why I never got the email for my road mapping endeavor. Could this be why? I tried to change my email address in my profile on this website and it says “server error” when I try to change it to plain user@gmail.com address. Help!

I use the gmail trick to register anywhere that will allow a plus sign in the user registration form as it helps cut down on spam in gmail. If I start seeing username+Ford@gmail.com emails coming from HotPornSluts.com, then I know Ford SOLD (or had stolen) my email address.

Any help on the road construction not showing up in my history on my Dashboard as well as the email for the new road edit never showing up will be appreciated.

Well not receiving the email is a known issue. Nobody gets them ( well except the time when tons of them showed up our mailboxes all at once :smiley: )

For recorded roads not showing up. Most of us have discovered this is caused by network drops during your drive.

What I do is purposely close the application after recording to try and force my current route closed on the server. Hopefully this will “finalize” it before any potential network drop ruin the whole session.
