Hi, I don’t really know where to ask this, but it is possible to add more languages to the forum? Currently there are only 4 options. Portuguese, English, Japanese and Hebrew (I think).
It is possible to make also available Spanish?
For me in the last weeks the forum search has become quite useless, also only a part of matching posts is shown. Is this a measure to make us wait even keener for the upcoming Lithium forum?
Not sure if it’s a Forum problem or a Gmail problem, but lately I’m not receiving all the notifications from the forums I’m subscribed to (new threads).
This way when you open the Waze forum you automatically see forums and threads you are subscribed to immediately. Once I’m done with them I then go to the forum index to check new/other threads.
It doesn’t solve your issue about getting notified but at least it’s an easy way to quickly access them if you have some free time and want to check the forum.
Good tip.
I’ll do it this way for the moment.
But when there’s not so much free time this can be a little tricky.
I’ll let you know if this issue get fixed or the other way around.
Thanks Vince.
Whenever I log in to the forum with my normal account (HBiede), I get a 500 server error. 100% of the time, every page. Would like to know how to regain access to the forum from my account so I don’t have to use a second account just for the forum.
I gave up on forum search many months ago, thinking it would be fixed “soon”. But I believe we’re approaching a year or more that it has been broken.
For those who don’t search very often (especially not for older posts) here is an example. In October 2016 I wrote this post in the WME Speedhelper topic. The post contained a few less-used words like “stupendously” and “strawman”. Should be easy to find, right?
Search for word “stupendously” across entire forum and all time – no results.
Search for word “strawman” across entire forum and all time – no results.
Go to Speedhelper topic and “Search this topic” for “DwarfLord” – no results.
Go to Speedhelper topic and “Search this topic” for “strawman” – no results.
Search for all posts by “DwarfLord” across entire forum and all time – 231 pages of results going back to December 2013, including the post in the Speedhelper topic.
I know many communities are relying more heavily on social-media messaging for day-to-day communication, but the forum is still the one-and-only archive of our formal decision process. It can’t serve that function without proper search capability. Yeah, something’s coming “soon” but… this is just not cricket.
