I noticed at the Petro-Canada near my house that they had gas prices at 134.4 , not.9. Waze currently assumes that it always ends in .9, but when you take a quick look at http://www.montrealgasprices.com/, youāll notice gas stations now have prices ending in .3, .4 and .7 as well. Can we add that option in waze?
Ok so we still are unable to enter gas prices in Canada. We always get an āinvalid priceā error message because (Iām guessing) the price is too low due to being by the liter instead of by the (US) gallon.
This is a known issue ā Canada has been rolled in with the USās price limits ($2.00-$5.00?) so any attempt to report a price outside that range fails.
Iāve requested that the lower limit be reduced to $0.50 until they sort Canada out of the US, but apparently that hasnāt been done.
They should add a price per liter in the App menu, to cover world wide.
Some other countries also using liters, not gallons.
It might just be the case for Canada, because we are on the NA server and always been the black swan.
I second this. I saw $2.75 per litre in Norman Wells last winter. I know itās an extreme situation, but we may as well be prepared.
Is it possible to get the fuel types in octane rating?
How should we deal with stations that offer different grades? Most Chevron and some Petro-Canada stations over 94 in addition to the more common 87, 89, and 91. It would be nice to make it easy for users who need to go out of their way to find 94.
Unfortunately, the Waze app only supports four grades. I did try to get āSuper-Premium (94)ā included, but no dice.
The most common are: 87, 89, 91 & diesel. I donāt know of anyone who needs 94 ā though I know of some who prefer it.
At this point, I just want the thing turned on properly ā if gas starts approaching $2 per litre in a populated area, Iāll push hard to have the limit changed quickly. Somehow I think that for now, a $0.75 to $2.00 limit should more than cover our prices.
If you feel the need to shock the driving public in Canada do as I did and simply take the per litre price and X by 3.85 to get the US Gallon equivalent which is different from the Imperial Gallon. Most prices will fall below the $5.00 upper limit providing the per litre price is $1.297 or lower.
It would appear that recently the Gas Prices have been adjusted in Canada to allow proper 1xx.9 prices. I have updated prices at at least 10 stations over the weekend and no issues except the decimal is fixed at xxx.9. This has already been addressed in the newest thread for gas prices.
