Glossary

The descriptions within this Glossary attempt to resolve the ambiguity of terms, and cross-reference other Wazeopedia terms, pages, articles, and sections, along with other Waze and external sources. There is a very intentional lack of description content which helps avoid duplication of source content while facilitating future maintenance when source content changes. Some descriptions may, therefore, be reduced when alternate sources are available

Some terms existed before Waze. Some were officially coined by Waze. Many others evolved naturally within the various Waze communication mediums used by Wazers and staff alike. Regardless of origin, all are important to help understand Waze Speak!

Please carefully consider your use of abbreviations and acronyms in your conversations, as they may not be unfamiliar to everyone when not used with clarifying context.

While many terms apply worldwide, this glossary is US English-centric.

This page references all abbreviations, acronyms, and initialism terms as (abbr.) for technical reasons. GrammerBook.com

It attempts to include terms used within the official and third-party Waze ecosystem and the various communication mediums.
