Was looking around the map and seen these google feed requests,
I clicked one and it was true or false 2 lane road standard width,
simple question but has been open since Feb. 2024? I noticed at the bottom of the info popup that I’m not a high enough level, is there a way to lower the level needed or have an R5 take a look at these pins along I40 between Rockwood and Cookeville TN? Some have been open for 2+ years

A few things here without going into extended details - The Google suggestions are part of an information sharing program between Waze and Google, to help improve mapping services. This started a couple years ago and us volunteer map editors have been working on them since, including a “map raid” early on where this was an editing focus for a dedictated time. While these can and certainly should be worked on, admittedly it hasn’t been a priority (for me at least) as there are plenty of other updates and corrections which can be found and made, including addressing user submitted map issue requests.
Also with these map suggestions, we need to be verifying that the information suggested is correct. This includes the type you posted in your screenshot, unpaved vs. paved, speed limits, etc. I have run into plenty of incorrect suggestions such as a suggested unpaved designation, when going into the street viewer, the road is in fact paved. I’ve also seen 55 and 65 mph speed limit suggestions posted for residential neighborhood streets, obviously incorrect. So this isn’t an “accept” the suggestion situation and tackle the next ones. There is a time factor involved for verification. There are also thousands of them in TN and the same is likely in other states.

Thank you for the information, at one point I was active in editing and enjoyed helping. There are a lot of updates and fixes i submit through Google maps (fixing pin for businesses : etc:) now when i get on waze it seems like most of the area i travel and know factual information is all locked for higher levels so im not much help in this area. Good to hear waze still has an active community.
Any tips or pointers on getting my level up and being privileged to work on higher level fixes let me know, what are some low entry edits I should start looking for to boost skill and unlock higher areas
