Holiday Inn (Solomons) removal request

Hello! Could you please help me? I have not enough edit rights.

  1. Please remove any info of Holiday Inn (Solomons) (Solomons, MD 20688, USA)

It’s not from Google because it’s marked as Permanently closed there, but Holiday Inn (Solomons) is still present on live for some reason.

It’s Solomons Inn Resort + Marina now (https://waze.com/en-US/editor?env=usa&lat=38.33671&lon=-76.46355&marker=true&zoomLevel=18&venues=185794943.1858211578.908359).

  1. Could you please update images for Solomons Inn Resort + Marina as well? They show outdated Holiday Inn logo, these images are old.

This is already updated in Waze .. since August 2024. As far as images: these have to be updated by Waze users, but I have deleted the older images that shows “Holiday Inn.”

If an outdated listing is still present on live and it doesn’t come from Google, what could be the source?

It actually is a Google Maps issue. They are marking this as a “Bus Stop” as well.

Transit stops in Google maps are notoriously hard to correct because they are often provided via feed from a transit agency. We can try to market as closed, but if the transit feed is still providing it as a location that edit will likely be rejected. However, we might have more luck, submitting a change to rename the stop to something more generic.

@hotelport , you’ll probably want to contact Google Maps, if you have any connections there, or contact the Calvert County Transportation Division and see if they have “claimed” that Google Place and can update the name to match their Bus Route schedules, which is: “Holiday Drive, Solomons”.
