during my commute waze tells me to exit on off ramps when it is obvious that i dont need to. how do i edit this or correct it?

Either waze doesn’t have enough information about the other possible routes, or their is a map issue that is making the other routes not possible or appear to be longer. Less often length of route can cause issues with what roads are eligible.
