@mods: als ik hier niet goe sta - move me
Being confronted with very very bad GPS reception on my Sams…g SIII - I did some research…
Seems that if you wanne improve your quality in regards to GPS signals - you have to tighten all screws in the back of your device.
Owkey as Noted - I tried = waaw! Even indoors now I have best reception of GPS satellites.
Follow these easy instructions:
- power off your device (or take a measurement before to watch for improvement and then power down)
- open up the back of your SIII device (put your fingernail inside the gap on top of your device and go around from top-to-bottom - the back-cover will come off easily)
- take out battery
- you’ll notice 10 screws
- take an adequate screwdriver (mine was a type ‘00’) and tighten the screws by 65-90° clockwise (the screws of mine were very! loose) unless you feel a resistance of which you think - this seems ok with me - it’ only plastic you know …
- install battery again, and cover up the back (starting from the bottom up)
*restart your device & enter SIM code - leave it for 1 minute - yihaah : GPS reception went skywalking high - having 0 (zero) sats to lock on before to a steady signal of 5 sats and 4 to spare) What a improvement that was!
GPS skyrocking improvement = waze accuracy x 100
