This needs to be updated in 4 sections as the temporary speed restrictions are still in place nearly 10+ months after the junction has been finished. The sections will need to be split in half and the speed set to 40mph from 70mph. I’ve also attached pictures as it can be a bit confusing.
This is the best I could do for both sides of the junction.
Thanks for this. Every time I travel to/through St. Helen’s I tell myself to change the limit here, but I keep forgetting. Would be interesting to know if these limits will ever be removed. 40 seems horrible on this road.
Anyway, I’ve changed the approaching segment, but I can’t remember where the 70 resumes for both sides of the carriageway. If you can add map comment on the editor where that happens it would be helpful.
Aye, I been forgetting to do it since I gone done for speeding and the officer had told me that it is permanent but the council have not put up permanent signage.

It might be worth making a Freedom of Information request with the council for the Speed Limit Order to check if the speed limits are still valid, and to see if they’re permanent or not. Councils are prone to making mistakes with speed limits (Halton Council did once and they had to refund loads of speeding fines).
