Following on from an earlier post, https://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=375&t=65317, which concluded with a discussion relating to the A726 trunk road status, I have found additional information which may help to confirm the status.
Amey, who are responsible for trunk road maintenance in the south-west of Scotland http://www.swtrunkroads.amey.co.uk/.

However it is not illustrated as a trunk road from the M77 to the A737 https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=-4.40482&lat=55.82511&zoom=1&layers=TBFTFFTTTTTTTFTFTTTTTTTTTTT&env=row.
To update this section to a minor highway requires a L5 downlock.

this road type needs to be reduced as it is incorrect.
First off, I’ve merged these 2 threads. Given there’s another one involved already, there are too many separate topics for the same subject! :lol:
Next - even more up to date information.
That says that the A726 is trunk from the A725, only as far as the Phillipshill Roundabout.
I’ll also add that Transport Scotland link to the UK Wiki.
Given the official nature and the recent date of the source, I am going to downgrade the rest of the A726 to minor highway, reducing lock levels where appropriate.
I didn’t checking everything as I went, so you might want to take a further look along the route.
This junction stood out as possibly needing looking at, as did the center of Paisley.
