Level 5: Cranbury, NJ

I would like to fix up the geometry of this junction so that you get a turn (keep right/keep left) instruction for both fork from either approach on Main St, but only a keep left to CR-539 / etc… or turn right to CR-539 / etc… instruction (before the “circle”) from either approach on route 130.

I live near here and drive by this junction all the time, and I find that if you approach this junction from Main St in either direction, you do not get any instruction to keep right onto route 130, making navigation ambiguous at that fork just past where it merges. At the same time, route 130 follows a very clearly defined through-path through this junction and does not need any kind of turn instruction to stay on route 130.

I don’t think it would be appropriate to use a roundabout here, even though it kind of looks like one, because route 130 follows a very strongly defined through-route and actually has un-slowed (?) right of way through it.

Thanks,
George

I Fixed for you. Please take a look at it and let me know if that’s what you wanted. We might have to test it to verify, though.

I also updated the angles…

I think the geometry of this segment should be tweaked a bit to insure that it gives a left turn instruction.
