# Level 5: Raleigh NC - Unlock request - Wade Ave Wayfinder

Request: Per a UR, I’d like to add a wayfinder ([https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Junction\_Style\_Guide#Wayfinder\_Segments](https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Junction_Style_Guide#Wayfinder_Segments)) at the end of this segment (at the Blue Ridge Rd ramp) to help traffic coming off I-440 to know to merge left to keep on the Wade Ave freeway, if that is their direction of travel. This merge is very tight (only about 250m) and usually has high traffic coming in from both directions during rush hours. All segments involved are level 5. I’d like to try this myself (per the wiki instructions), if possible, which means I’d need the lock dropped to 2 temporarily for all 3 segments.

No wayfinder is needed for this exit ramp vs stay to the left. The two mainline lanes stays as two mainline lanes. Remember that Ways is not a lane navigation tool but a street navigation tool.
But I did fix two things. The exit angle and the name of the ramp (to match the Big Green Sign (BGS)).

Hi jemay,
I appreciate the help. I tend to disagree at this particular segment, however. Keep in mind that there are no signs that say the 3rd lane becomes an exit (which is not typical in NC), so it’s not clear until the last second that you better get left in heavy traffic, and this segment is quite short, as I noted above. If this tool doesn’t support lane navigation in certain circumstances (i.e, unusual or unexpected lane configurations), then why do we have wayfinders in the first place? But, in any case, I defer to and appreciate your expertise.
