Some major changes went into effect on Wednesday, 21/AUG/2013 involving US-22 and PA-145 in Whitehall, PA (news article).
-
The ramp from US-22 East to PA-145 North has been permanently closed and may be removed (Permalink)
-
The ramp from US-22 East to PA-145 South is now to be used for both PA-145 North and South (Permalink). The new “To PA-145 N” part of the interchange at the end of the ramp matches up with the shadow of a pole just north of the “stop bar” on the southbound lanes on the satellite image (directly in front of the apartment building [this photo gives a good idea of the location]). You can initiate the left-turn segment just west of where the grass triangle ends and make it a “T”-shaped junction. Please make the ramp split so that TTS reads “keep left” and “keep right”.
Also rename the exit “Exit to SR-145 / 7th St / MacArthur Rd”, then the two sides of the split “To SR-145 N / MacArthur Rd N” and “To SR -145 S / MacArthur Rd S / 7th St”.
NOTE: This is only a change to the US-22 E / PA-145 part of this interchange–thee US-22 W side in the photo will be completed later this year! Also, the reconfiguration of PA-145 N to US-22 E has not yet begun, so you can leave that segment undisturbed.
My regular “L5 fixer” isn’t available right now. Given how major a change to navigation this is, I figured I’d bring it to the forum so it shows up ASAP.
Thanks in advance!
