My Level: 2
Reason for request: Remove the right turn from little East St as per User Report
I would be more comfortable about banning the turn if the Turn Left Only sign was at the junction with Grand Junction Rd. Vehicles coming down Little East St (no entry from Bartholomews except for loading), don’t get such an instruction. Positioned where it is, I think it’s an instruction to vehicles coming out of the drop-off point for the Queen’s Hotel that they must turn left into Kings Rd. It could, I suppose, be an instruction that drivers must turn left from Kings Rd into Little East St, rather than continuing straight (although there are no No Entry signs apart from what’s written on the road).
There’s also a series of Streetview images showing an estate car making a right turn out of Little East St into Grand Junction Rd westbound.
Sorry, I’m not convinced that the turn is banned.
Thanks for the reply Woodvale, having a look with the current street view I have to agree with you, although how you would manage to turn right safely during daylight hours is a different issue.
( Traffic light timings may allow a space or not)
I have asked the requester if there are any recent changes. I presume waze would adjust for the fact it would take 15 mins to turn right or less than a minute to turn left.
I have been told by the reporter.
There are two no right turn signs attached to poles either side of the junction. They were cardboard signs but definitely official –
Just had a Google search see

page 5 looks like a permanent change
Justification - thanks! I’ve prohibited the right turn and updated the UR to say so.
