Unlocked.

Thanks,

Waze isn’t letting me edit this segment Problem Segment even though I have the coverage and L3 status, maybe try lowering to L2?

Weird, it was locked at L4. Try it now…

No it was A3 – but works now – thanks. will report back when ready to lock

I changed the Sl and it changed to A4…

Awh, misunderstood that last one…

Anyhow all completed now,

The configuration you have there will give an exit TTS prompt from NB Mountain Hwy onto Arbolynn Dr, are you sure that is what we want here?

When NB on Mountain Hwy, going to Arbolynn Drive, it is technically an exit. Could remove “to” from the street name and keep it just Arbolynn Drive.

It’s not the “to” piece that I’m questioning. In the current arrangement you will be prompted “Exit to Arbolynn Drive”. Although you are on Mountain Hwy, it’s a highway by name only and is really just a regular road. Does it make sense to have an exit instruction or would a keep instruction make more sense to wazers navigating in the area?

Awh, I understand what your talking about now – yes you’re probably right, “keep right” is probably the better match.

OK, so there are a few ways to achieve this. Spend some time to work on this to give TTS instructions that will make sense.

Ok sounds good – is there a wiki page or something?

The Junction Style Guide is probably the best place to start, particularly this page: https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Junction_Style_Guide/Controlling_turn_instructions. In this case you need to be aware of the segment names, segment types and angles. Sometimes we need to use short stub segments to force a particular TTS instruction we want. Note that if you use a stub segment, make sure it is 5m in length. Segments shorter than 5m cause routing issues as they are not long enough to collect speed data, and over 5m are visible on the app map.

Also make sure you have the JAI script add-in installed to help you.

Hi,

Just bumping this thread to see if you resolved this? The current set up looks OK to me and is locked at L4. If you’re OK, please mark this thread as resolved.

Yes, it all looks good to me as well –
