Let me first apologize if this is not the right place to post this message, I just couldn’t figure out where I had to post my topic.
I’m coming from France and have an account since almost 2 years. This year 2013/14 I’ve been living in the US and using the app in the US. I’ve reached the Waze Warrior rank with approx 13K points. Back in France I’m now at approx 6K points and Adult Waze rank… I don’t understand why? I’ve used a different phone number (logical), but the account remained the same!
It seems a bit unfair and demotivates me a bit from using the app, afraid that this could happen again.
I don’t think your points are lost they just are separate from your points accumulated in France.
There are a few different servers and I suspect your 13k Points are still very much on the North America server. These points will not follow you to France. When I travel overseas those points stay on that server and are not added to my points accumulated in North America.
But surely if your Waze app is logged into the international server on your phone (and your account is on that server too), then your account should be accumulating points on the logged in server, not the location server?
Must admit i cannot see an option to select server for the app login page…
Accounts are global and independent of server. When you drive or edit, however, whatever server you are currently using for the various routing/editing/whatever request is where you’ll see the points accumulate.
