Map edit suggestion where I can actually edit

Thank you for these examples @Honkson. I added them to the internal ticket and will keep you posted on further updates.

All the best,

@Honkson It appears you are facing the same issue previously encountered with our Country Manager.

Please ask the Romania Country Coordinator to verify your assigned area, as it is currently missing from your profile too. It’s possible you were granted RTC access instead of AM access by mistake.

This keeps randomly popping up for me from time-to-time and I’m an L6 in the US and this most recent edit is in the US (in Texas) and this one particular PLR addition keeps wanting to be a suggestion instead of just allowing me to add it. I just added a traffic light to the west and fixed a segment just off-screen from this snapshot.

I am the country coordinator for Algeria, I am not AM here because I am CM for the entire country.

If you are the coordinator for Algeria, please check your assigned editing area to rule out any RTC-only access issues. I encountered a similar problem in my own country and resolved it by performing a full review of all editor permissions.

I’ve attached a screenshot of your profile below; the arrow indicates your current editing area, while the red circle marks the location where the issue was reported.

Hello, hoping this is the correct thread.

I can’t approve an edit if the previous segment is of a higher level (level 5, my level is 4). Permalink
This also happens in beta.wme

Hi @ElFresh92,

I have checked your example and want to share the following comment from another bug report here:

mentioned here: link

In your case, the suggestion is ‘From’ the segment with L5, which is why you can’t approve it. I know it’s a bit tricky, but please check the discussion in the mentioned bug report to find out more details.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Regards,
Nataliia

Could you explain it another way, please? The translation isn’t clear to me.

True, but the segment before the link corresponds to L5. The initial permalink segment is L3.
Furthermore, it was said to be resolved in January; the problem reappeared (for me) in April

Hi @ElFresh92,

My apologies for not providing all the details earlier.

Our system logic checks permissions for the ‘From’ segment only.

In your case, you are trying to approve a map suggestion to update a turn instruction.

The turn instruction goes from this segment (L5) to this segment (L4).

In this specific example, you cannot approve the suggestion because it originates from a segment with a higher lock level (L5) than your current permission level.

Let me know if this sounds clearer or if any additional clarifications are needed.

Regards,
Nataliia
