Temporarily unlock this segment to Level 1 or ammend closure to indicate that local traffic is still possible but no through traffic. Possibly by closing the intersection of coolbrook and snowdon and not coolbrook itself.

Construction work is in fact ongoing with very little space to circulate, however it is not closed - merely closed to theough traffic. All navigation apps are directing users to the equivalent location on the decarie service road - which is obviously not ideal since delivery drivers mostly use them. I am unsure exactly how to mark this on the map, perhaps hazards along the road and then closure of the intersections? In fact all roads in this area face similar trouble, but I can only attest to this one stretch of road.

Any advice appreciated, I will attempt to do my best to edit it in an intelligent manner if not.

Thank you very much in advance.

Andrei

New editors do not have the ability to add/delete closures so I did it myself.

I’m curious about why Waze would send anyone to Decarie instead. That sounds like an error. Can you give me a sample destination?

Oh my god thanks, my buddy and his wife is going to be so psyched - they’ve been living with this for months hahaha.

So, in my case I was downtown and entered his address on coolbrooke and the destination on the app was actually marked at the exact same distance down his street as his address - just on decarie. I supposed that this was because that was as close as Waze reasoned it could get.

4625 avenue coolbrook

Obviously, with the road unclosed, it is now showing the correct path. I looked through my history and it shows the path I followed - not the one that waze gave me.

Is there a way to see the history of routes that I was proposed by waze?

I can draw it on top of the current waze if you like, if you’re uncertain what I meant.

No need to draw it. I live in NDG too.

What puzzles me is why Waze was using Decarie and not the alleyway behind the buildings. Oh, well. Problem solved regardless.

I don’t think you can get a history of proposed routes, just recorded ones.
