My own little genferei

Sorry about not having given news about this sooner.
The summer try was good and I decided to let it go after summer until now.

The upgrade of previous Primary Streets to Minor highway seems to have been beneficial for the area.

  1. I’ve noticed less UR’s about wrong routing in Geneva.
  2. When I was driving it appeared to propose “more logical” routes while still changing in case of traffic.
  3. It better connects to the french network, no more primary street connected to a Major highway. (Geneva borders is 108.7km connected to France and only 29km to VD)

We also have a very active french city near Geneva: Lyon

Stats for Wazers in Lyon : Maximum 1992 - Average 664 - Minimum 87 - Active 1453
http://wazestats.com/active.php?city=44

Stats for Geneva : Maximum 218 - Average 139 - Minimum 20 - Active 218
http://wazestats.com/active.php?city=59

So I can safely assume that like Ticino with Italians or Basel with Germans, we also have many Wazers who come to work here but live accross the border. I doubt that our 218 Wazers are all Swiss.

Which brings me to the conclusion that since I’ve had no question about this classification from other editors and no report of problems in URs etc… I think that the SITG Cantonal map classification should -exceptionnally- be agreed to stay active rather than the geo.admin map classification.

With your permission of course.

Let me know what you think.
