# My thoughts / comment on Waze

Hi All,
I just joined today and tested out the GPS on my phone.
Over-all it is pretty good.
1 thing i notice is that it keep trying to take me to the Toll way, even though i tried to avoid it so many times… I have tried to avoid it, but it keep telling me to do U-Turn as it believe Toll way is the fastest.
I live in Dallas, TX area

The “Avoid Tolls” option is a new feature which is not yet active in the US. It should be functioning here within a couple of weeks … just waiting for some map updates to process, so that all (or at least most) of the US toll roads will be marked correctly.
Glad to hear that you’re enjoying Waze – it’s my favorite app (yep, it even beats out “Words with Friends” :lol:).
