Greetings from Long Island. Almost a week now using Waze and enjoying it. I’d like to be able to help out on editing. I’ve tried by entering my business info in the editor and I think I did it right.

Thanks all. So I tried an edit, adding my place of business in Hauppauge. It says it is level 2, so I made an unlock request in the Unlock/Update forum. Is that the proper place or would it be appropriate to do that here or on Discord?

Hey Huw — you’ll be able to add new places without approval after you’ve had 10+ place update requests (PURs) approved. Right now your addition is pending approval and someone with editing access will approve it. Places themselves can be locked, but you can still edit them at that point — they’ll just come in as PURs. (Your addition doesn’t need unlocked, just approved.) Below you’ll find the Wazo article about places (and PURs).
