Might want to add the 5 new Mobile Phone detection cameras that got added and turned on today by the SA government.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Waze is currently in the process of rolling out the new feature to display accurate alerts for drivers for things such as mobile phone detection cameras and combined red light/speed cameras.

As this feature is still in the works, the mobile phone detection cameras are currently displayed as dummy cameras. These cameras show visually on the map with a camera and “X” beside it, however does not provide any alerts when drivers drive through.

We are eager to map the new cameras. Thank you for your patience and attention.

If the existing mobile phone cameras don’t have a dummy camera placed at its location, feel free to reach out with the specific location and I can make updates.
