New roads need adding please

There’s an extension of an existing road and a couple new roads off of this one that need to be added please. The existing road is Copper Creek Drive in Winterville, NC. OpenStreetMaps has the roads added there. I’ll attach some supporting images. I have photos of the erected road signs; satellite view taken from Apple Maps showing the roads (though they are otherwise not labeled in AM); and a screen cap from OSM. There are houses under construction on these roads with the first group nearing completion. Zillow and other sites have these homes listed as further supporting evidence for the roads. If there’s anything I can do to help, please let me know. I tried to do a driveby using the Pave option in Waze, but I didn’t quite grasp how to use it properly at the time.

Hello, I just wanted to give you an update. This appears to have been edited. I request that you remove this location from your saved search and saved locations and allow up to 48 hours for the change to take effect.

Thank you very much! The roads are showing up just fine now. Related to this area… I wanted to ask about the house numbers next. Many are there already, but there is something confusing about some of these. They were added to Waze by someone prior the the actual streets being added and named per my request, but the addresses map to Eliza Wy, not Way, The house numbers I’ve found so far are 338, 344, 350, 356, 362. Does Waze automatically abbreviate “Way” like this, or is something awry?

Good Morning,

The name is shown properly in the map editor. As for the house numbers I was not seeing them when I added the road, so if you want you should be able to add them in the editor.
Below I have added the links to the road for you to easily add them if you wish.

Howdy, I went in and added the house numbers, but I don’t know if they are live now. What I mentioned before definitely have been there for a couple weeks before the roads were actually added. They may not be there as proper addresses but rather as a POI with the address as the place name. Or something to that effect. I suspect either the developer or someone in the community added them as the homes were under construction. Here’s a screen cap of what I see when searching for 338 Eliza Way as an example:Screenshot 2023-09-03 at 20.38.58.jpg

The destination suggestion of 338 Eliza Wy has been what I’ve seen for a couple weeks now and it does correlate to the location of the actual house, but as you pointed out, there were no house numbers when you looked. They are there now since I added them per this conversation earlier. But there are also 2 hits for this address, with the correct spelling of “Way” on the 2nd one. But that one also is not showing up on the correct side of the road. When I’m in edit mode, the house numbers I added are in the correct locations, so I don’t know what to make of this. This holds true for the other addresses I listed earlier on this road. I haven’t tackled any others yet.

I believe I’ve figured out the source of the 338-and-onwards Eliza Wy destination suggestions. I was checking on Google Maps and it has these in there as addresses, although the road itself has not yet been named (it didn’t even exist yet a couple weeks ago in GM). I am able to suggest edits to these in Google Maps, so this must be where they are originating. I’m guessing Waze is sharing data back and forth with Google Maps and due to this being an ongoing process of getting the streets and addresses in, they aren’t quite in sync yet. Anywho, I think we’re done here. Thanks for the assist!
