but shouldn’t still allow a closure to be added for example i solved a ur , did some edits elsewhere (nowhere near the closure segment)? are we able to add turn closures whilst having unsaved edits?

This is how closures work. The feature is disabled if there are any pending saves.

John is right that this would best be a feature request.
