Hello Daria,

I’m having problems with the new house number mode. When I type “h” it always zooms away from the current view on the map. In addition, the WME has already crashed 2 times (and I have only edited 2 streets). I also find it inconvenient to tap “h” after each house number and can’t just tap each house in turn.
Maybe there is a way to choose in the settings whether you can use the old mode.

I think is not very clear.
The fact that a parking lot is covered is not a service offered, moreover in the Lot Elevation section there is already the option Street Level Covered it seems to me that it only creates confusion this double indication.
In my opinion, one of the two indications should be removed.

P.S. the Elevation Section is not yet visible from the Client, how the number of spots is not visible

Hi @Kluex. It zooms in to the selected segment. Regarding the crashes, please add a steps and a screenshot with open Console please, it will be really helpful (please report it as a separate topic here). Regarding the ‘h’: you can click Enter to save just added HN and then ‘h’ to add a new HN. In such approach segment’s selection won’t be reset. And I believe that in the old mode you also needed to click ‘h’ for each new HN, am I correct?

Regarding the old mode: unfortunately there is no switch to the old mode.

What’s the reason for changing it after all these years? I don’t recall seeing any suggestions asking for it to change.

This appears to have broken the rapid house number script again. I can’t use the extension and the baked in version is not slick enough to get the job done. Just spent several minutes trying to get two house numbers on to a street.

This should be reported in the scripts forum since it is script related.

Yes i noticed that too, it is WAD as per @Daria_Staff Message, i think this is a good thing that way you don’t have to remember to turn on the layer, like for Road closures or PHs to be able to add them or see them in the Map. :+1:

I agree with G_W1Z.
EDITED - good hint from daviaraujo93 (in post #35) will solve many “problems” reported by me below
Many times we are modifying “nudging” existing house numbers on multiple segments - and now, before I can “modify” existing numbers I have to add “number” then remove it and then I can edit existing…

And new “add house number” will activate layer I do not like to use…

You can just toggle the layer using Shift H, select a segment and move or delete HNs. Taking me a minute getting used to that flow but it does prevent the adding an new HN.

EDITED - good hint from daviaraujo93 (in post #35) will solve all “problems” reported by me below

Shift H is an option to toggle between layers but is still selecting one segment - before was selecting all segments “visible” in WME. (solved by hint from daviaraujo93)
Also adding new house number will require to click “add HN” on left panel - so ease to click something else  - before “add HN” was on the top bar - easy to click over and over… (solved by hint from daviaraujo93)

:crossed_fingers:

For me it is much easier now:
Using shift+H, you will activate the HN layer, then just click on a segment that you want to edit the house numbers.
Only use H when you want to add new house numbers as many times as necessary.

If you click on a segment and press the H key, it will actually automatically activate adding a new number, to cancel this, just press Esc.

I see this as a change that will bring more features in a short time, and in case you want to select all the visible segments on the screen, use shift+control and hover to select the segments you want.

The reason for change is in the post.

Hi Diaria, I will keep an eye on this and make the data available the next time the system crashes. Thank you for your quick reply and best regards

Thank you for great hint about H - this will help a lot
I see some “problems” while adding multiple HNs (correct me if I am wrong) after adding HN you have to press “ESC” then press "H’ add house then press “ESC” … etc.

We’ll see if the new features are intended to cause an extra layer to remain on.

I was really excited when I saw the release log for this update as it brought a lot of exciting features we’ve been waiting for in production for a while. So far, I’ve had a good stable experience with this release.

At the moment, my main complaint about this release is the new HN system. In the past when editing HNs, I was usually zoomed out a bit further. I would like to be able to zoom out further again when adding HNs as well as being able to see the line between points in native WME as well without having to select individual HNs, maybe as a layer or setting. This helps when looking for HNs that have the number in the right place but end point on the segment on the wrong side, etc. Also, I think it would be good to bring back the greyed out border where HNs are too far away from the segment as it helps us visualize when we need to use RPPs instead of HNs in cases where the house is further from the road. Lastly, I don’t really edit HNs with the HN layer on so I wish there was an option to stop toggling it on when in HN mode.

I know a lot of these concerns were probably already brought up, but I hope this feedback helps.
