The construction of the Timon Bypass is complete, strengthening the connection between BR-226/MA and BR-316/MA.

The 2nd phase of Avenida Metropolitana, in the stretch connecting the São Raimundo neighborhood to the State University of Maranhão (UEMA) turnaround, was handed over this Saturday (28), consolidating another significant advancement in urban mobility for the capital, São Luís.
With six traffic lanes, a bike path, accessible sidewalks, a structured median, and modern street lighting, the new road ensures greater safety and comfort for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists.
More than just an infrastructure project, Avenida Metropolitana represents a transformation in urban commuting, directly benefiting the residents of São Luís, while strengthening integration with the municipalities of Paço do Lumiar, São José de Ribamar, and Raposa, contributing to the development of the entire Greater Island.
Road Closure in Cohama for Construction
Starting this Thursday (9), José Cândido de Moraes Street will be closed to vehicle traffic due to work being carried out by Caema.
