One.Network changing?

Hi,

Not sure how this will affect the information that editors get, but just had an email pointing to this blog

Some information will be restricted to certain users - whether we will see advanced information via the site I’m not sure.

But thought it worth mentioning here for whoever liaises with them.

One.Network have updated the changes they are making

Public users stand to lose two pieces of data: the detailed descriptions of roadworks, and the detailed descriptions of their locations…

Registered users - works descriptions, works location descriptions & operational layers will be removed - but you can still use email alerts…

Only a Street Manager account will have access to the details we currently use.

To create a Street Manager account, you need to work for a local highway authority in England, or a utility company or a contractor employed by those organisations.

Do we know if the [elginroadworks] Road Closure Requests will still show in WME?
As we don’t qualify for a Street Manger account has anyone enquired if Waze editors will be given special access to the data in one.network?

I asked one.network about the changes and access for Waze editors, the reply was quite vague

Hi Jon,

Thank you for your email. Please be aware that these changes follow the data governance requirements brought in by DfT covering third party use of Street Manager data. Data governance arrangements are overseen by the Street Manager Governance Group, which represents stakeholders from across the DfT, Local Authorities and Statutory Undertakers.

one.network will continue to display the roadworks information which we are permitted to display under the Government’s Open Data rules. Where possible, we will attempt to categorise the works to give you as much information as possible about the works. The organisations responsible for the works are able to add further information about the roadworks using the one.network platform and we are working hard to get as many organisations using this feature as possible.

Has anyone enquired if Waze can be set up as a Street Manager and give us a collective login? Or if the data sent to WME can be more accurate so we don’t need one.network?

Closures starting tomorrow (Mon) don’t seem to have loaded on WME. Might just be a bug and unrelated to this … :?:
