Think we need to add an entry about routing preference -1, neutral, +1
Explain what it is and why used. Also state to discuss with State Managers prior to using.

Might mention that you can’t change it on anything but LS-MH. Also that LS can’t be -1 and FW is always +1.
I am also waiting on confirmation from Chad as to changing the preference definitely affects routing, including BDP and other algorithms. However, testing tends to suggest that isn’t the case. But it could be a bug.

Freeway can be set to Lower, it just can’t be set to Unchanged (reverts to Higher).

Ok made changes to incorporate these comments. Have LS-FW since can lower FW. FW is only +1 if unchanged or +1.

This is good! I changed one word from affect to effect (different things), and I recommend changing the last sentence to “A map comment is recommended to explain why this setting has been changed.” I haven’t seen routing preference affect BDP (the nominal road type is used for continuity checks, not the +1/-1 type), but I have seen it affect longer-distance routing.
