Big news for the Southwest region’s Wazeopedia pages!
The SWR wiki has finally been updated.
With the introduction of the new regional wiki we are going to make a shift in the structure of the region and state wikis. The regional page will have everything guidance related, whether that is regional guidance or state specific guidance. Moving forward the state pages will be for state specific mapping resources only. This will have a few benefits:
- It will help editors easily identify guidance that may be specific to the southwest or an individual state where there is a deviation from national guidance.
- It will allow one comprehensive guidance page and the state resource pages will be much leaner, allowing important state information easier to be found.
- It will provide more consistency across the region.
- There will be one page versus eight pages to maintain for guidance.
There are other regions using this format with success.
State pages have been edited and sections have been removed if:
- They are part of national or regional guidance.
- If an exclusion has been made on the regional page.
- If they are obsolete.
The state pages are pretty lean now with only mapping resources or supplemental information that supports guidance on the regional wiki. Important contextual information for the state remains.
