I’ve had a partner reach out and report they do not have permission to add Places to the map. Do Partner accounts only have permissions to edit road segment?
Partners have the same permissions as their editor level. They do get special RTC access to their area.
Thanks for the prompt response.
So to be clear a Partner account with R3, should be able to create a place in the city they manage?
If the account they’re using is within an actual EA, just like a typical editor. The RTC polygon could/would be different than any EA polygon they may have been granted. Staff can look into that or the coordinator for that area can grant them an AM / EA if they so choose.
Partners are granted an “Area of Operation” in the partner hub which allows them access to tools in the partner hub like feeds, data, reporting map tools, traffic view etc. This also allows them the ability to add real time closures (RTC) for this/these area(s) of operation via the WME.
Partners are not granted editable area (EA) or managed areas for the Waze Map Editor. Nor are they granted any special edit permissions. However, if they engage with the local edit community and contribute to the map, they can progress organically or through mentoring.
