The Willeo Road bridge between Bywater Trail and Lower Roswell Road is closed for the next four months in Marietta on the county line of Cobb and Fulton counties. The official detour is Timber Ridge Road but today I drove to a few different locations to test the recommended routes and two of the three recommended routes were directly through our narrow neighborhood streets in River Forest. The speed limit through our neighborhood and the adjoining Jackson’s Creek neighborhood is 25 mph and we have many children riding bikes, pedestrians, etc with no sidewalks for us to use. We are very concerned for the safety of our residents and would like to find a way for WAZE not to suggest our roads as a route. What can we do?
I imagine that this is something you’d have to take up with your local municipality. We cannot restrict routes that are not officially closed. I apologize if this is not an appropriate solution to your problem, but as I said we cannot restrict valid traffic routes.
