I am a new guy to the app. Is there a way, or any value to, posting road updates that are heard via a scanner while at home?
No. As a security feature, you can only post a report at your current location. You can not pan the map over & drop a hazard pin or report a map issue - the pin will appear where you currently are.
The third-party system Feed the Waze is designed to be able to help with things like this, BUT it isn’t available in the US.
