There is a “NO Left Turn” sign from McCoy Rd. to Colonial Rd. in Franklin Lakes, NJ. This appears to be the problem that someone reported on June 1.
There is a sign on McCoy Rd at the previous junction (Roth, Woodfield, McCoy) that informs the driver of this upcoming restriction.
That’s because we need to know which road to unlock. With only the McCoy segment selected, I had to look around to find the correct segments to unlock, or even find the intersection (since I was looking at the north end first). No worries, just educating.
I have made this change and roads can be locked if they are supposed to.
Thanks for letting me know about the coords. Will try to get the right one next time. I was looking at so many myself at that time trying to determine what the problem was that was reported.
The coordinates were OK, but we need selection on all the segments that require locking. There are two ways to select multiple segments:
After click the first segment, hold down CTRL while you click the additional segments
Use the M key to toggle multiple/single selection. You normally are in single selection mode, which when you select a new segment, deselects any existing segments, unless you hold CTRL as above. But in multi-mode, it just keeps adding more segments. You can re-click an existing selection to deselect it. To clear all selections, switch back to single mode (press M again) and click anywhere
The PermaLink (PL) on the bottom right includes parameters to remember all selected segments.
Thanks for the instructions on selecting multiple segments. Didn’t now it could be done. Wish I saw this before I sent another request today that needed 3 segments unlocked. Will update that one now.
The main reason I ask editors to select all the segments they need unlocked is because I’m often reviewing this forum via Tapatalk and my iPad, which provides me with a very limited WME that cannot select segments but can set lock levels for segments already selected.
