# Re-route alert

Is it possible to turn off the annoying screeching noise on re-routing

There is no option to turn off the reroute alert unless you turn sound off. You are welcome to make a suggestion or upvote existing suggestions for it in the [Waze Suggestion Box](https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-waze-suggestion-box). Waze staff does monitor the suggestion box and has implemented many ideas in the past.
