Hi @Anat-Staff , the USA would like to request that for the mentor applicants we approve, that they only be added to this forum. There is not a need to give them the waze mentoring kit or anything else. We already have these areas covered. Please let me know if any questions, thanks.
Wow, what a relief to be getting response notification emails again!
Hi @orbitc
Your (US) applicants will go directly to your sheet, the one you shared with staff. We’re directing US applicants to your sheet through the top section of the sign up form:
So you’ll be able to continue running your recruitment as usual.
If US applicants will accidentally apply through the general form, we’ll ask them to resubmit their entry directly on the US form.
How does that sound?
Thanks!
@Anat-Staff That sounds good, thank you.
Happy Sunday, dear Mentors!
We’ll be launching the Mentor Recruitment campaign this week, starting with the Editors Newsletter, to be sent in a few days (hopefully ).
You’ll be seeing posts in chat groups and forums, please help us spread the news when you do.
Our goal - to get you lots of enthusiastic, motivated and talented mentors!
Thanks and have a great day.
Woohoo!
We started getting applicants (only a handful so far) and will be emailing Mentoring Coordinators to review the applications!
We’re now inviting people to apply through the forum as well:
Please spread the news and invite good people from your communities to apply!
Thanks and have a great day.
Hello!
Im Gabriel from Nicaragua (Central America).
One dumb question, what A/RC stands for in the request?
Thanks.
Hi Gabriel,
There are no dumb questions
thanks for bringing it up.
A/RC - some communities refer to their local managers with these types of abbreviations - Area manager, Regional manager or coordinator.
Some mentor applicants mentioned that they don’t know who their local manager is, possibly because we used this abbreviation.
For the US, A/RC is Assistant Regional Coordinator / Regional Coordinator
Dear Mentors,
Here’s a quick update about our Mentor recruitment efforts:
- The campaign was first launched through an item on May’s Editor’s monthly newsletter
- We got 21 applicants so far (excluding US and Brazil who’s applicants are directed to a separate form)
- Our dear Mentoring Coordinators reviewed the candidates, some were approved and are being onboarded by their community guides as new mentors!
- The campaign was also promoted during Sunday’s Office Hours and will get additional promotions gradually - help us spread the word as well

Thanks and keep spreading the word and reaching out to potential mentors ![]()
Hi,
Approved mentors now show up in Country sheets!
The column titled:
Mentors (approved, Sep 2022)
Now also pulls mentors who applied and were approved by you, during this recruitment campaign.
I manually changed the title for a few countries to:
Mentors (approved, Sep 2022) + June 2023’s recruitment campaign
Feel free to change the title of the column in your country’s sheet.
Thanks and let us know if you have any questions.
Hi!
Where do I find these country sheets? Is there a link to it somewhere? Or are your remarks somehow directed to a limited number of people, who do have access to these sheets?
Hi,
The country sheets are used by the Mentoring Coordinators - i your case Fischenicher ![]()
Please let us know if you have more questions.
Thanks for clearing that up. It might be a good idea to specify this sort of info in future posts, so as not to confuse your non-coordinating readers. We are many - and easily confused. ![]()
