# Reporting Police

Any chance people can tell the difference between the Police and the Highways traffic officers.

Unfortunately, we can NOT stop users from reporting what they see, others on the other hand can choose to either select “still there” or “not there”.
I have also noticed this at every single encounter, the Highways Agency Traffic Officers get reported as “police”. I think until Waze introduce more options in the menu apart from just “Police”, as i stated in my Waze Discuss Suggestions, to which people had agreed upon, that the introduction of the menu “emergency vehicles” for example to be added instead of police to which it will contain several other options for the driver to choose from.
Until that day when Waze adds these additional features, there is no way in stopping these reports from happening, best option is to press “not there”.

Depending on where the vehicle is situated, such as the angle it’s at or how far it is from the road, some drivers may just notice the battenburgs or fluorescent bonnet and believe it to be a police vehicle. Especially as some of the NHTO vehicles have the police ‘interceptor’ style yellow and black bonnet.

And for some reason the Highway cars are T8’s, while the Police only get B6’s 😁

Love this! There’s a motorway interchange near me where the HETOs always park and nearly every day I have to “not there” a police report!!

This is also true for the M62/M60 which i see daily LMAO
