Seriously, the street-to-rivered-railway does not look too convincing. At different zoomlevels the client has trouble showing something that even remotely looks like a railway. Compared to the clean lines of the roads around it it looks much more like a natural feature - a river, or a canal, or just a set of very narrow triangles. The best thing that could happen is that Waze decides to display the railways as ++++++++++, but they have indicated they will not do so. Next best, and with my vote, is the use of walking trails for railways, as they are cleanly and clearly visible, yet distinct from the drivable roads around it. Also, it looks like it works as the “trap” for Wazers in trains like what we need at some critical places. Finally it is just less hassle to create and maintain - especially by less trained editors. The worst that can happen is that they change the type back to railroad, just because that type exists.

I have to admit POI’s (as the railway will be in this case), are not that nice shaped and clear as a ‘normal’ street. I can live with using ‘walking trail’ as ‘railway’. But we have to be much more carfull there’s no connection with the normal streets (If everybody knows well what they are doing…) I experienced routing on walking trails more then once myself. Indeed locking them as ‘unknown’ will provide it from routing on it normally…Since railroad disappeared vissibly from the client, I did not with that (road)type.
So ‘visualy’ I say indeed we have to choose ‘Walking trails’. For more safe routing I say adding them as a landmark.
I would like to hear opinions from some other Belgium Wazers…
Argh, I asked support to put me back - 3 times! So, really, I have no bigger vote than anyone else in this.
The current version of the tool has two buttons: Street to River and Street to Railway.
The first button changes a new road into a river landmark. The widht can be specified in the street name. The second button changes a new road or an existing railroad type to an ‘other’ landmark with a current width, so there is no need to redraw the railroad.
I leave the railroad under the landmark so wazing train passengers will be locked to it instead of nearby streets.
So far I have not seen problems with the visibility of the railroad landmarks in the client, probably because the railroads are rather straight.
Check the country border between NL and BE, that I created as a test. It’s over here

I would like to know what you exact want to do over there. I corrected some Turn Restrictions round these segments…Those segments are important for the correct cityname so that’s why they are locked…

Could someone unlock this street (or adjust it)
While the crossroad is a bit off, the ooigemstraat and liebaardstraat should be connected without the little bit of nieuwstraat in between.
The reason for this is the directions you get. It says turn right then left, i find this a bit confusing since you want to go straight.

I drove to Chaleroi from Gent yesterday. In Groot-Bijgaarden, Waze sent me in ClockWise direction first, and took the first exit to sent me CounterClockWise, like I should go. (I, ofcourse, rejected!)
I put an updat request on it, maybe someone can look into it? This looks like a major issue to me.
Can you unlock this street? a two-way street needs to be changed to one way and a red arrow needs to be changed to a green arrow
edit: still need the update, but I just saw it was petervdveen who made this street bad, while it was good before. I would like to know why that was?

As far as I know this, it’s still a two-way road.
There was indeed a wrong TR. I changed this.
