Hi, there are 2 landmarks defined for the San Diego International Airport, and one of them routes people to the back side of the airport where you can’t get to any terminals, etc.

Guess which of the 2 appear first in the list of search results when you search for San Diego airport - yes of course the wrong one.

[https://www.waze.com/editor/#?%23%3F=&zoom=3&lat=32.73304&lon=-117.19075&layers=BFTFFTTTTTTTFTTTTTTTTTTFT](https://www.waze.com/editor/#?%23%3F=&zoom=3&lat=32.73304&lon=-117.19075&layers=BFTFFTTTTTTTFTTTTTTTTTTFT)

These are the 2 defined landmarks in Waze which drive routing directions:

San Diego International Airport, San Diego, CA - this Landmark routes people to the back side of the airport and appears at the top of the Waze search for San Diego airport

San Diego International Airport / Lindbergh Field, CA - this Landmark routes people to the terminals on Harbor Drive but is on the second page of the Waze search results for San Diego airport

The landmarks are locked in the Waze map editor - Can someone with proper access please remove the incorrect landmark “San Diego International Airport, San Diego, CA” , or correct that landmark to have the ‘focus’ point at the terminal entrance off Harbor Dr, so people get to the airport terminals and car rental roads rather than losing 20 minutes of time when using Waze routing directions! On the map editor you can see half a dozen errors reported about the airport directions.

Please help - I am embarrassed to recommend the Waze app and then have them routed to the backside of the airport in the 8th largest city in the US!

I’m not seeing the “Lindbergh Field” landmark.

In the map editor, search for san diego airport and it will show you search results that include these 2 landmarks, select one then the other from the search result and you will see the “focus” point (whatever the correct term is) change from the middle of the runway on one “San Diego International Airport, San Diego, CA” to the terminal road on the other landmark “San Diego International Airport / Lindbergh Field, CA”

After selecting a search result entry, click on the blue shape outlining the airport on the map, I am a novice so hope this helps.

Also in the map editor there is a Layers icon in the upper right of the map, below the Trash Can icon, where you can select Landmarks layer, which isn’t enabled on the map by default…

Really?!? Have you seen who I am and what I do for the editor?

Anywho…I have done some changes to the airport landmark. I’ve still been unable to find the other one. I also went ahead and made changes to MCRD San Diego, so that landmark will no longer appear in the app.

I can’t find the “right” one either.

What needs to happen here is that the main terminal (or primary entry point to the airport complex) needs a landmark named “San Diego International Airport (SAN)”. The name then needs to be removed from the fenceline-to-fenceline landmark so it is nameless.

In looking around there, I’d also remove some other landmarks, like the unnamed buildings and the control tower.

The dual landmarks still appear in the Waze app and in the [waze.com](http://waze.com) map editor, can anyone delete the airport landmark with the “focus” point in the middle of the runway? When wazers happen to select the runway airport listing from the waze search results, they get routed to the back side of the airport…

Yes, it looks resolved now, just one landmark and search result for the airport in the app and on the website map - thanks!
