[Script] WME Tools (WMET) v0.3.4 / 2013-12-27

MdSyah,

There are no fixes for your country at the moment, sorry :frowning:

Only 2 champs got the codes: Peter (there are fixes for NL) and Oyyo (to test WMET-Toolbox interaction).

Frankly, I’m considering to drop this “fixes” part at all, since the reports are handy enough and more safe.

v0.3.1 Release @ 28.11.2013:
UI changes:

  • new option: Exclude non-drivable and streets (default for Lvl 5 and 6)
  • new option: Exclude highway segments (default for Lvl 1 and 2)
    New connection reports:
  • Unterminated segments
  • Unneeded junctions
  • Unknown segment direction
    Bugs:
  • fixed: the city name on top of the report is most of the time incorrect
  • fixed: It reports highways without name. But also roundabouts without name
  • fixed: [NL] Incorrect Nnum road types. Please exclude ramps.
  • fixed: Reverse connected roundabout segments for Left Hand Traffic.
  • report removed: No U-turn on long (150m) dead-end segments
    Other changes:
  • Options: now 3 tabs
  • “Unlock all segments”: now just for Poland

Sorry, the download links are in my original post: forum link

v0.3.1 HotFix1 @ 29.11.2013:

  • reports: visited links are green now
  • fixed for left hand traffic: “Unconnected roundabout segments”
  • no more “Mass Edit” in the name

The download links are in my original post.

Great…

Problem with RA solved. The other check seem running good.

v0.3.2 @ 30.11.2013:

  • fixed: “Unneeded junctions” report now recognizes dead-end loops

A DirtRoad-4x4-Trail segment is connected to three and three other segments on both its ends.

I was thinking of the wording, which was confusing for me. The segment is connected on both of its ends. If its connections are disabled using the RT arrows, it should be stated differently.

Otherwise, I liked the reporting functionality. A nice piece of work inside.

[edit] Sometimes, when zoomed out too far, the script does not stop at all, telling that it will finish in a minute…

Shall I call it “Isolated drivable segments”? Or just a “Drivable segments with all turns restricted”?

Check the error log, there must be some errors. I can force WMET to continue map scanning despite the errors, if it makes any sense…

Yup, sounds good. And something similar for those, which turns are allowed just inwards or outwards?

I will.

Hi!
New release. Sorry, just minor fixes.

14.12.2013 v0.3.3:

  • WMET reports are now available for Lvl 1 editors
  • fixes few report titles/how tos
  • new report for NL: incorrect lock level for Freeway/Highway segments

The download links are in my original post: link

Wow, man, this thing is wild! What a hoot! I love the bleeps and the bloops

The ETA the first time I ran the street/city name report was inaccurate—it said it would be done in a minute for basically the whole time, it took more like 5. It seems to be working properly now, on the connection report I’m doing—saying 4 minutes now. If it makes a difference, for the first report I stayed in the WME tab the whole time; this time I’m here and it’s running in another tab in the background.

Might just be a one-time thing.

Anyway, great work!

Thanks!

ETA is just what it is. It depends on 1) how many segments you have and 2) network/Waze servers performance.

WMET reports “finishing in a minute” when there are in fact less than 2 minutes left. Those 2 mins are to compensate the fact that if you scan a large city, then usually at the end of the scan there are some rural areas with much less number of segments.

Maybe it’s not always the case, so I’ll try to address it in a next release.

Hi, I just noticed that since the availability of the chat feature for Public WME the script is not loading. No problems on the Beta WME.

What about adding a report to street names which end in a period? For instance, there is no reason for a period in “Muttonville Ln.” but some editors may add it in places which use periods on their street signs.

Sure, it will be implemented for US in a feature version. But I’d suggest to deal with the abbreviations in US using your “Waze Abbreviations and TTS” table. It looks a bit scary, but with some help…

  1. We can make a “white” list of abbreviations with a dot at the end (i.e. “E.”, “Dr.”, “Intl.”) so WMET will report any other abbreviation (i.e. “Ln.”).

  2. There are also some notes in the table like “n/a. Use alts.”, so we can make another list of such the abbreviations with suggested substitutions, so WMET will report: change “Aut” abbreviation to “Autoroute”, “Avn” to “Av” etc.

What do you think?

For the Netherlands
Can there be a report what highlights new streets. After 1-1-2014 what have no house numbers added (displays only new streets after the import of house numbers by waze)
And second a report before 1-1-2014 to display roads with are missed by the import. (Due misspelld street names)

And maybe a report for double housenumbers.
For example when a street has two times number 22
