Hi Tim,
Often I would log the correction at the appropriate location, but these points were out of of phone range (country roads) so it couldn’t update immediately. Waze noted the GPS coordinates and would update as soon I was within phone range.
Thanks for the info about the coordinates. I’ll be more careful next time to ensure i use the same units.
There definitely was an option where users could log an error in the speed limit using the app. There was the ability to notify directly in the app what the correct speed limit was. For example, a few weeks ago one of my passengers noted that the limit on Waze changed about 50 metres past the sign. This was because when I posted the correction many years ago, the first safe spot I could find when I could touch the phone was past the sign.
On other occasions, I would get a passenger to activate the log at the exact spot.
There was a specific option to correct speed limit errors. Now, when I select the yellow triangle, there are eight options but none specific to speed limits. I cannot think of any reason why that specific option would have been removed.
Tim, thanks for your and all the other volunteers’ work.
Ken
