The Garda in Ireland provide a list of speed van locations in Ireland.
For example, they give a starting and ending point.
This could be 1km or 5km.
Wouldn’t it be great if these points could be added to Waze.
Say for example, you are driving down the road.
Waze says" you are now entering a speed van location"
Then, as you leave, Waze says " you are now leaving a speed van location "
It’s hard to put a camera location if there isn’t an exact spot for it, we’d be getting reports for faulty camera location if we placed those alerts based on a range of 1 to 5km. For mobile enforcement, it’s best to utilize the feature in the app to report mobile police camera ahead. When on reports such on the app, it’ll stick around for at least 4hrs
You’re missing the point.
The Road safety authority can place a speed van anywhere within these locations.
They can’t place them outside of these locations.
This is about preventative measures.
Anywhere within a range of 1 to 5km if I’m understanding what you are saying. That is a huge variance and speed vans are highly mobile.
