Hey Waze Staff!
I hope all is well.
Is it possible to add a new feature to WME, that shows a specific message on the screen, to every driver who enters a specific area?
This might be a useful addition to Waze in all countries that have no government connection with this great navigation platform. The idea is, to bring the attention of Waze users, that WME editors need their help to add/correct the information in a specific area.
For example, in my country, Iraq, especially in my city, Baghdad (the capitol), and with taking in consideration the following conditions:
- Unsettled security situation that affects the road closures status very often.
- Lack of proper planning form the gov. when it comes to road closures, and updating & providing a ligament source of information.
- No availability for WME to show an up to date satellite images.
We ended up having tons of data that need to be updated on WME, but we are not sure of when or where.
Giving the ability to WME editors to create, and publish a message-on-screen to drivers in that are, asking them for example to (Report unpaved roads), or (Report street name) would be very helpful in my opinion.
